Grandparents & Special Friends
Grandparents and special friends play an important role in our students’ lives and in our school community. Throughout the school year, there are a number of ways that you can connect with students and learn more about the ways that they are benefitting from the Montessori philosophy:
- Multi-Generational Cooking
Share your favorite recipe and join Head of School, Carrie Kries, for an interactive cooking class with our students! Submit a recipe here.
- Participate in our Postcard Exchange
Send a letter or postcard to the attention of your student(s) and your student will receive it and have an opportunity to add it to our school’s postcard wall! Address postcards as follows:
Attn: Student Name
920 Youngsford Road
Gladwyne, PA 19035
- Join us as we launch our Grandparents’ Council
Gladwyne Montessori’s Grandparents’ Council will provide an opportunity for participants to leverage their time, talent and treasure to enhance the opportunities available for our grandchildren and their peers at Gladwyne Montessori. If you would like to participate, please email Molly Robbins or contact call (610) 649.1761 ext. 104.
- Montessori-centric Parent and Caregiver Education
Join us for a virtual class led by our talented faculty and Gwen Shangle, Gladwyne Montessori’s Director of Montessori. Register for an upcoming workshop here.
- Invest in our Mission
Just as a Gladwyne Montessori education impacts our students’ lives in critical ways, so too does philanthropy. Each year, grandparents and others in our community propel our school forward by redirecting PA tax dollars to fund need-based scholarships for our students, supporting our campus redevelopment effort, and by participating in the Fund for Gladwyne Montessori, which ensures that teachers can say “yes!” to new and innovative ideas that make learning a process of joyful discovery. Visit www.gladwyne.org/support to make a gift in honor of your student today!
