Nathaniel Leonard

A former Montessori student, Nathaniel Leonard is now an Associate Professor of English Literature at Westminster College in Missouri. He credits Gladwyne Montessori as laying the foundation for his love of education. After being nurtured and supported by his former teachers, he learned to learn for himself, to really dig into what he found exciting, and to see people as people.

Elise Dadourian

Near or far, Elise is determined to always stay connected to Gladwyne Montessori. “Whether it’s through playing music at Spring Fling, being an active alum or maybe even a parent one day,” she explains. “The friendships I made [at Gladwyne Montessori] taught me the concept of compassion, understanding and perspective—which is something we could all use these days!”

Lizzy Schwartz

Inspired by a fundamental desire and responsibility to help others, particularly students, Lizzy Schwartz presently works with 4th graders in Washington D.C. She will soon escalate that work in applying to law school to specialize in education policy, with the hopes of offering all children schooling experiences similar to what Gladwyne Montessori offered her!
