All of our programs are designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience and encourage Gladwyne Montessori students to delve more deeply into varied cultures while fostering a greater appreciation for the world around them. These programs are a critical component of our child-centered approach. The experiential and hands-on special subjects help to expand our students' capabilities beyond academics.

Montessori curricula are meant to incorporate a broad spectrum of subject areas. For this reason, your child will be experiencing an array of special programming within his or her own classroom environment. Morning meeting may consist of a group music lesson, the afternoon may involve some sort of artistic expression and so on.

Even so, Gladwyne Montessori feels it is of the utmost importance for your your learner to have access to a wide breadth of specials during their school day and after-school extracurriculars to participate in.

Extracurricular Activities

Primary and Elementary students are invited to participate in extracurricular activities in three sessions (Fall, Winter and Spring) include classes like robotics, chess, cooking,  or group sports. Classes vary each season and are often dependent upon interest.

We are always introducing new classes to meet the needs of our students! Age levels vary per class. Families can register their child for the desired extracurricular activities online—and your child doesn't even have to be enrolled as a current student at Gladwyne Montessori to participate!
