PA EITC Program for
Pennsylvania Businesses
The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (PA EITC) program allows businesses in the Commonwealth to earn a tax credit for up to 100 percent of certain Pennsylvania taxes when they make a donation to a Scholarship or Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization. A contribution received through PA EITC goes directly to need-based tuition assistance.
Businesses can attribute their PA State taxes to the Gladwyne Montessori School through the EITC program. Participating in this program will provide your company (or a company with whom you are associated) with a substantial tax credit (75 to 100%). This is a direct tax credit, NOT a tax deduction. Additionally, contributions are eligible for federal and state charitable deduction.
If a business pays any of the following taxes to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the EITC program allows these tax dollars to be directed to GMS scholarship programs:
• Corporate Net Income Tax
• Capital Stock Franchise Tax
• Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax
• Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
• Insurance Premiums Tax
• Mutual Thrift Institution Tax
• Personal Income Tax of S corporation shareholders or partnership partners
The EITC program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) on a first-come, first-served basis. The sooner your company makes its commitment, the more likely funds will still be available for this fiscal year.
