Before and after school

Early Birds

We offer busy parents the option to drop off Stepping Stones Full Day, Primary and Elementary students before the school day begins. The Early Birds program is available throughout the school year as early as 7:30 a.m. and may be pre-arranged or used on an as-needed basis. Please refer to the current Schedule of Tuition and Fees. Stepping Stones Extended Day

Beginning with the 2010-2011 School Year, our youngest students will have the opportunity to stay at school all day. In addition to the 2, 3 or 5-day morning program from 9 to 11:15 a.m., our all-day Stepping Stones students will remain at school for lunch, a rest period and extra class activities from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. The classes are overseen by a Montessori-trained teacher and two assistants committed to fostering youngsters' curiousity and developing independence. La Casa - Stepping Stones and Primary Extended Day

Our afterschool enrichment program, overseen by a Montessori-trained teacher, is available for half-day primary students looking for an afternoon program and Stepping Stones full day and third-year primary students who need to stay after 3 p.m. or Friday early dismissal. Students bring their lunch to school, have outdoor play time and enjoy a variety of different activities each week, including yoga, cooking, nature and art.

We encourage parents to register for La Casa at the beginning of the school year, as spaces do fill up as the year progresses. However, students are also welcomed to register for the program throughout the year as space allows.  A $50 administrative fee will be charged for changes made to La Casa after the initial enrollment. Afternoon dismissal times are hourly from 3 to 6 p.m. Please refer to the current Schedule of Tuition and Fees. Click here for a registration form.

Study Hall

This teacher-monitored afterschool program is offered to elementary students every day throughout the year from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. After completing their homework, students are given free time to socialize and play.
