This speech is dedicated to everyone that ever believed in me and my two main supporters my Mom and Dad. Ok so I guess this is it huh; my graduation speech. I guess I'll talk a little about my years here at GMS; I started here in 2nd grade and I thought this place was the coolest on earth! (Clueless I know)
Just kidding, my teachers were Meg and Lois. They were very friendly and encouraged us to succeed in all of our work; they also urged us to ask questions whenever we were confused. I loved it. I was free to do any work I wanted. I was so surprised how friendly everyone was! The first person I met was Hailey Durmer.
By second grade I had tons of friends including Caroline, Eleanor, Reeta, Natalie, Katie, Alex, Andrew, Danny, Jackson, William, Michael, Jordan and Tiaura. I looked up to all the third graders. I tried to follow their examples in hopes that one day I would be as smart as they were. I couldn't wait until I was in third grade myself so that the younger kids could look up to me! In that very same year someone named Mrs. Mehta visited. She said that she was planning on working here. She was nice and when her visit was over I didn't want her to leave.
But to my surprise in fourth grade, she was my math and Science teacher, along with Mrs.L who taught Grammar and History. It was much harder than I expected but I had so much fun with the new friends I made that it all seemed worth it. Now I met Jaslyn, David, Ella, Emily, Nicole, Nia, and Meredith. Now we had assignments every week and the edit! I was freaking out but I got through it.
Fifth grade was great because I knew everyone in the class. Same teachers, same friends same everything, except work, there was way more work now, Dun Dunn dunnnnn. There was only one six grader so we fifth graders got to do a lot of cool stuff like walking the All-dayers across the bridge into elementary and tons of exciting sixth grade lessons! However, towards the end of the year when Mrs. Mehta told us she was leaving I was very sad because she wasn't just a teacher she was a friend.
In 6th grade I got a new math and science teacher named Mr. Nord. He's funny and cool. I got to go to the auction and sell raffle tickets where I saw Hannah one of my best friends! Shout out to Hannah! (Looks around and clears throat). And all the fourth graders are awesome this year I met Maddie, Lachlan, Rebecca, Amity, Elizabeth and Rachel.
As I was saying most recently we went on our six grade trip! We went to the Baltimore science Museum and the Hard Rock Café which was the most fun I have had on a class trip in like forever! We got to take a limo and be weird and not get in trouble. Right up our alley!
All right now I think I should start my thank you's. First, I have a request from one of the weirdest and coolest friends I have made in my time of attending this school. Ok Nick, here it goes: I would like to give a special thanks to Bob the glue stick. I would also like to say thank you to Coco for teaching us all about music and helping us to become great musicians; Madame Denise for making French as much fun as it could be and art as colorful as her personality. Thank you to Meg and Lois for teaching me the basics in all subjects and giving me a great start. Thank you Mr. K. for being an awesome gym teacher and whipping us into shape. Mrs. Johns, Ms. Haahr, and Sally for teaching us to love books and literature. Mrs. L and Mr. Nord for teaching me everything I know about Grammar, Math, Science and History. And now I would like to thank what got me through the year: friendship. Friends are everything to me and I couldn't have done it without them. I love you all!
Now comes the part I have been avoiding this whole time, the time I say my final goodbyes. I keep on telling myself that it can't really happen; I can't be leaving. So I won't, I won't say goodbye. One of my good friends told me that if you say see you later rather than goodbye you will see them again. So see you later guys.
Bianca will attend The Shipley School
