I'm a little tea pot short and stout… oh, wait, wrong speech.
Here it is.
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Andrew Feldman. It seems like just yesterday I was three. Well….. I still act like it but mom said I can't today. I started here at 3 years old with Mrs. Lanahan. Right when I walked in I liked it because everyone was friendly and there was entertaining work. In that class I learned to tie my shoe, clean up after myself, and be social. We also did a funny dance while Mrs. Lanahan played her flute, or harp. I started talking to people right when I got there and I met Danny Rogers. We have been friends since.
In Mrs. Hartnett's class I learned a lot. I learned most of the stuff I needed to know. I did Grammar boxes, racks and tubes, peg board mazes, checker board, division, addition, multiplication, and subtraction. Mrs. Hartnett had cool science and math lessons, and Mrs. Slattery helped us make awesome mother's day presents and helped us with all our work. I learned the Time Line of Man in third grade, and we had to pick a civilization to study about. I did the Renaissance. It was really fun in Mrs. Hartnett's class, and I made even more friends. I made friends with Alek, Luke, Blake, and Dante. We did lots of cool games and activities in Gym, French, Art, Computer, and Music. Especially in gym when I covered the base. Literally.
Now I'm going to talk about my favorite part, Upper El. I came to Upper El knowing a lot of people and having a lot of fun with my friends. In Fourth Grade Mrs. L had a new teacher with her named Mrs. Mehta. She did Math and Science that were both a lot of fun. Then she left and Mr. Nord came this year. Mrs. L. has always had the "GREAT" job of giving history lessons and grammar lessons. I made other friends in Upper EL. I made friends with Alex, Jordan, David, Greg, Tiaura, Bianca, Reeta, Jaslyn, Nick, Will and Jackson. All the guys played football at recess a lot (except for Jordan) but it got boring, so then we just walked around being weird and talking. We all don't think, but we know that Mrs. L. has a black hole where her heart should be.
I have also gone to Camp Onas for the past six years, and it rocks. And this year we went on the sixth grade trip to the Baltimore Science Museum in a limo. Then we ate at the Hard Rock Café. The museum was fun but the limo and lunch were even more fun. Of course Danny and all my friends still get in trouble, and make Hippie Jokes, Short Jokes, The Egg is Quiet Jokes, and Old Jokes at Mrs. L, but she doesn't mind. (Or I think she doesn't.)
This year was great fun because I did a lot of projects with my friends. We made a battery operated car that worked, and a Rube Goldberg machine that unfortunately didn't work.
I'm sure that they've been waiting for it; now I'm going to thank my teachers. I'd like to thank Coco for helping me with music and understanding it all these years, Mr. K for teaching me a lot of different sports, Madame Denise for teaching me how to speak French, and art, and last but not least, Mrs. Hunter for teaching me almost all I know about computers. Oh I almost forgot, Mrs. Slattery and Mrs. Hartnett for teaching me most of the stuff I have continued to learn, mothering me and all my friends, and teaching us to be good in class (even though that didn't work out, right, Mrs. L?). And I'd like to thank Mrs. L and Mr. Nord for having interesting lessons, cool work, and awesome projects And of course for also badgering me and my friends to do everything. This school has been like a second house to me and I'm grateful that I came here. I still talk to all my friends that left, and that are still here. I'm sure I'm going to be friends with everyone for a long time. And for all my friends of course smelly muffin, lala, and walk it out, walk it out, walk it out. Sorry, those are all inside jokes. Thank You.
Andrew will attend Friends' Central School
