Casino Royale

Join the Gladwyne Montessori PTA for Casino Royale - a night of casino games, dinner, dancing, fun, and fundraising in support of scholarships toward tuition assistance. Each year, the PTA Auction and Gala is the Gladwyne Montessori PTA's largest fundraising event of the year, made possible by parents, faculty and community partners who volunteer, donate and request auction items, purchase sponsorships, and attend! Sponsorships can be purchased online or complete the form below to pay by check.

BIDDING IS NOW LIVE! Click here to start bidding >>> REGISTER / SIGN UP TO BID!

Bidding in the silent auction is open to both attendees and remote bidders.

Our silent auction takes place online, through our mobile bidding site. Bidding is easy! All attendees who have shared their contact information will automatically receive a link to bid. The silent auction will open 24-48 hours before the auction, and all are welcome to participate. Can't attend? Be sure to join online!

Please direct any questions about bidding to Ahsiya Scovern, ascovern@gladwyne.org. For urgent bidding questions, please call Ahsiya at 302-635-9879.

Attendees have been pre-registered for the auction. If you would like to bid remotely, simply go to this site and click the "Join the Auction to Bid" button. Continue to the next page for detailed bidding instructions.

How does a Bidder make a bid (or "Maximum Bid") on an auction item?

A Bidder can make a bid on an Auction item by clicking on the “Place Bid” button underneath that specific item. The Bidder will then be directed to a page with additional details on the item, including the value of the item, the “minimum bid increment”, and how much time is left to bid on that particular item.

Bidders can then enter an amount that they’d like to bid on the item, as well as a “Maximum Bid.” The Maximum Bid is an amount that you can set to allow the system to automatically bid for you - up to that specified amount. (That way, you can continue to automatically bid on an item without worrying about bidding over your limits! Your bid will only go up if someone is bidding against you.) Once a Bidder has entered their bid and a Maximum Bid, then they can press the “Place Bid” button – and voila! They’ve submitted a bid! The bidder should receive a notice at the top of the screen confirming that the bid was successful, and that they are now the highest bidder.

Bidders can then return to the main Auctions page by clicking on the “All Items” link below that confirmation message.

How can a Bidder see the items that they’ve made bids on?

Bidders can see the items that they’ve made bids on right from the main Auction page! There is a section under the auction’s description and image where a Bidder can toggle between three different views. To see all of the items that they’ve bid on (regardless of if they have the highest bid or not!), they can click on the option to view “My Bids.”

Can a Bidder make a list of the items they’re most interested in?

Yes! Bidders can make a list of their “favorite items” by clicking on the small “heart” icon next to the name of the item. They can then access that list by selecting the “My Favorites” view from the main Auctions page.

The cost per guest to hold this event is estimated at over $200 per ticket. The individual ticket price is $175. Sponsorships allow us to invite all faculty and staff for free, and also help cover the cost of making this an equitable event for those whom the ticket price is prohibitive. Sponsorships also ensure that our event costs are covered, and our auction is successful before the event night begins. Net proceeds from this event will go to Gladwyne Montessori Tuition Assistance.

Each year, auction item donations play a key role in ensuring that the PTA Auction is an impactful evening for our school! Please consider supporting our Silent or Live auction with the donation of an item or experience. Some of the items on our wishlist include:

  • Sports tickets to any Philadelphia team
  • Other experiences such as plays, orchestra, opera
  • Home services; painting, window treatments, interior design - these sell very well as people love vendors that are word of mouth
  • Gift certificates to local businesses, stores, restaurants

Donate an item to the silent or live auction today or click here to download a printable form. We can accept item donations up to April 17!

We are still looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Day of event set up
  • Floral arranging on the afternoon of Friday, April 19
  • Final auditing of silent auction items, and silent auction layout/setup

Sign-up here or reach out to auction@gladwyne.org to get involved today.

Support us with a donation.
